Analize of existing screens

As Andromeda is based on solutions Viasema had already deployed for their clients, I analyzed the existing user journey to identify pain points and explore opportunities for improvement.

Analize of competitor

I analyzed several competitor platforms to identify valuable features and spot potential areas for improvement. This helped uncover opportunities to enhance the user experience and align our solution with industry standards.

Persona

Based on my clients' knowledge of their current users and additional research, we defined three archetypes who would be using Andromeda within their legal teams.We referred to these personas throughout the design process to ensure we consistently addressed their needs.

Pain Points

From this research, several essential expectations surfaced:

Information Overload and Complexity

Legal teams deal with a high number of contracts, each packed with detailed information. On top of that, various operations can be applied to these contracts, navigating and managing both the content and the actions efficiently becomes a major challenge at scale.

Collaborative Editing

Multiple people may be working on the same contract at the same time. They require seamless collaboration tools to avoid mistakes and delays.

Tool Complexity

The platform offers many tools, each with a variety of options and settings. Users need clear guidance—not only on how to use the tools, but also to make informed decisions about the best option for their needs.

Diverse User Profiles and Learning Curves

Not all users have the same level of expertise. Some need more guidance and support, while advanced users want faster, more streamlined workflows. The platform must adapt to both without overwhelming beginners or slowing down experts.

Information Overload and Prioritization

All the operations possible on the platform will generate a huge amount of information. Users need a way to identify key actions, priorities, and deadlines without having to dig through layers of content.

Activity Tracking

Users can launch many different operations across multiple contracts. They need a clear way to track what has been done, what’s still in progress, and what remains to be completed.

DESIGN & INTERFACE

Mockups

After validating the user journey and wireframes, I created high-fidelity mockups in Figma that illustrate the different user stories for each tool in the Andromeda suite.

Design System

After validating the first visual screens, I started building the design system with the fundamental elements,then completed it progressively throughout the project with additional components as needed.

Results

Through regular team meetings and user feedback, we developed a full-featured platform for managing, analyzing, searching, and generating contracts. It streamlines daily tasks with a wide range of practical tools.

Contracts management

Users can easily navigate through their folders and quickly identify different types of resources, view recent activity, and access detailed information within each file.

Contracts import & analysis

They can import a large volume of files in one go and simultaneously configure them for one or several analyses. Progress and setup status can be tracked effortlessly.They can then easily monitor the progress and status of each operation.

Guided Contract Generation

To generate a new contract, users select a template and answer guided questions. The navigation through questions is intuitive, and they can easily spot which fields are missing or need modification.

Collaborative Drafting

Users can collaborate on each question by assigning tasks or starting conversations directly within the contract-building flow.

Advanced Search & Filters / E-discovery

Users can search within a defined perimeter using advanced filters or manual commands. For efficiency, they can save search queries and source settings.

Analysis Overview

The analysis dashboard displays general insights and allows users to drill down into detailed results on the table view. They can easily spot which files require attention, and identify key risk points (and informative highlights for each one.)

File-Level Analysis

Once inside a file, users can view analysis results both in a side panel and directly overlaid on the document. With visual clues, they can quickly recognize types of information and the alert level of any anomalies.

Annotation & Support

For each annotation, users can collaborate through dedicated comment threads or assign tasks. They can also access functionalities and resources to help improve and modify the flagged items that need attention.
